The museum highlights Hokianga’s bicultural heritage. Our collections include many family files donated for research over the years. We also hold oral history recordings, photographs, marine charts, maps, and DVDs—several feature Opo the dolphin. The original Opo statue is on display.

Our library has a large collection of Hokianga books. Many are out of print and are a valuable resource for anyone studying the area.

Visitors can use our photocopier and laminator, and members get a discounted rate. We also sell a small range of books and memorabilia.
